The Oregon coast is a beautiful area and offers miles of clean, sandy beaches for beachcombing, clamming, crabbing, tide pooling or just relaxing with your toes in the sand.
The Lincoln City area is home to a seven mile stretch of pristine sandy beaches and the mighty Pacific Ocean. While this is one of the greatest attractions in the area, we can also boast access to a variety of activities.
About 10.5 miles from Wapiti park you will find the Drift Creek Falls Trail. This is a popular hiking trail that offers a scenic trek through the coastal forest and ends up at a suspension bridge 75 feet above Drift Creek. The picturesque Drift Creek Falls is a great find if you are staying at the park.
Cascade Head and Nature Conservancy is another fantastic hiking trail that leads one through the forests and then onto the grass lands of Cascade Head for amazing, panoramic views of the Pacific.
If fishing is your thing, this area is home to many waterways where one can find an abundance of fishing opportunites. Siletz River is just over 5 miles from Wapiti RV park and offers world class salmon and steelhead fishing. Or, you can check out fishing on the Salmon River and launch your boat at Knight Park a little over 10 miles from Wapiti.

If you're in the mood for a more urban experience, we can suggest the Chinook Winds Casino, the Tanger Outlet shopping center, Salishan shops and golf course in Gleneden beach, and a variety of unique shops, restaurants and movie theater in downtown Lincoln City.
A short 25 miles south and a popular family desitination is the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport. The aquarium offers fun for families and kids with a peek into the undersea marine life of our oceans. They offer both indoor and outdoor exhibits for a close up encounter with all sorts of marine life.
